Nest is a new and innovative company based in Leicestershire, UK. Using our years of botanical experience and the finest, completely natural ingredients we have put together a full range of eco-friendly cleaning products that work brilliantly, whilst caring for your health and the environment.
As we all battle against pollutants and chemicals, NEST make products with no artificial colours, synthetic chemicals, surfactants, enzymes and certainly no animal products. Now you can clean with a guilt-free conscience.
We will demonstrate the cleaning power of natural ingredients such as plants, fruits and minerals which are very underestimated. Natural ingredients have been used to clean and disinfect for centuries, this is what nature has provided for us to clean.
Inspired and supported by nature, we create products that are a joy to make and consider it a privilege to bring them to you.
Clean your nest the way nature intended.
Happy cleaning,
Lucie Denham

Nest eco cleaning stuff
Majestic. That's the only fit word for the design and presentation of Nest's new eco cleaning range (mentioned previously below). Where Ecover is proudly practical and spartan, Nest's products resemble posh toiletries - see for yourself in the pic on the left. Now, because a person should only read so many words on cleaning products in their lifetime, this review's short. I've tested the laundry water and antibacterial surface cleaner.
The water leaves your sheets and togs with a faint yet distinct lavender smell, which I like but you may not if floral ain't your thing. The surface cleaner, meanwhile, is clearly better than Ecover at cutting through encrusted-omlette-on-the-hob and other kitchen spills. It does, however, smell fairly strongly of vinegar - hence the formidable cleaning power - which may not be to everyone's taste. Nest says its stuff is made from '100 per cent fresh fruits, plants, malt solutions, minerals and essential oils' and, having used their products, I've no reason to doubt it: there's certainly nothing synthetic-smelling about them. One other nice touch is that Nest flogs everything in bottles, selling a trigger spray seperately for 50p to cut down on waste and price.
The price, of course, is where the catch lies. The cleaner's £3.90 for 500ml - Ecover's alternative costs £1.85 - while the 500ml laundry water's £3.45 to Ecover's £1.85 for the same amount of fabric softener. So the range costs twice the price of Ecover stuff. I'm still a fan, though, if only because the beautiful nature of the products has inspired my girlfriend to previously unheard-of heights of cleaning.

"New green cleaning rival for Ecover
Somehow, I never got round to clutching a lemon in one hand and bicarbonate of soda in the other: squirty bottles are too comforting when it comes to cleaning. My brand of choice is the ubiquitous, chemical-free and fairly cheap Ecover, bought in bulk to make my frugal side feel like I'm getting a bargain. There's now, however, a new contender for my money: Nest, whose team of botanists have created a grime-fighting range using plant power.
Typically, cleaning products don't get me too psyched - The How Clean Is Your House? girls are, to my mind, just OCD victims to be pitied - but these ones look good.
As well as the beautifully-designed bottles and useful replacement parts - such as the 50p spray, pictured - Nest promises to use no pollutants and chemicals, making its stuff completely biodegradable. Nothing's tested on animals, either.
Instead, they've employed fresh fruits, plants, essential oils and more to create a dozen products including laundry powder (washing-up powder in my idiom), washing-up liquid, bathroom cleaner and over cleaner. Should be interesting to see how effective the oven cleaner is; in my experience, only chemical-packed stuff like Mr Muscle is genuinely good for removing weeks of roasted squash.
Prices are noticeably higher than Ecover - 500ml's washing-up liquid costs £4.35 - but until I've tried any of the range I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. You can order and try for yourself from Nest's online store."
